How do I know what fins fit my surfboard?

Choosing the right surfboard fins depends on several key factors and their construction, including your board’s fin setup, the fin system, and your surfing style. First, check your board's fin setup; common setups include a single fin(which is mostly used for a longboard), twin fin, thruster (three fins), and quad (four fins), with each providing different performance characteristics. For example, a thruster setup offers stability and drive, while a twin setup is ideal for speed and manoeuvrability.

Next, consider the fin system used on your board, such as FCS fins or Futures; fins are generally not interchangeable between systems, so make sure you choose fins compatible with your board's fin box.
